Paul's interest in fish species and aquariums started early in life. He has worked in the aquarium industry all his working life and has been able to transfer his passion as a hobbyist to customers. His wealth of experience is an advantage to corporate or hobbyist customers, helping to gain them maximum enjoyment out of their aquariums. Paul has written many articles for both international and local magazine. Paul has bred many types of fish and propagated many types of coral.

Many of Paul's innovative aquarium ideas are widely excepted and used across the world, including his Logbooks, Rock shelves, bomie designs, Majestic filters and plenum style Majestic filters.

Paul has extensively studied most species, often in their natural habitat. For example, Paul has studied Cichlids in Africa and Marine fish and coral on the Great Barrier Reef, Fiji and Bali.

Paul's spectacular range of aquarium DVD's are sold around the world as the simplest, most entertaining and easiest way to teach people both in the industry and customers that don't have time to read.

Paul's other interests include music, he studied at the Australian Institute of Music where he became an accomplished guitarist and drummer.

Paul was runner up in the Young Australian of the Year in 2001 and was honoured with the Centenary Medal in 2003.
