• Catfish will clean the glass or clean glass weekly with an algae magnet or aquarium safe sponge.
• Change 20% of the water per 2-4 weeks, best using a gravel siphon away from the base of any plants.
• Never change more than 1/3 of the water at a time.
• Make sure the new water is the right temperature before adding it to the aquarium.
• Feed a maximum of what they can eat in 30sec, ensuring that you can`t see one spec after 30sec - once a day, in the morning, 5 times per week.
• Feed New Life Spectrum fish foods. It is the best food on the market. It is the best natural colour enhancer, the healthiest food and produces less waste than any other food.
• Only one person is allowed to feed the fish.
• Add 1 teaspoon of African salt per 5lt of tank water.
• Test pH weekly and keep it 8.0 (blue) if ph is green or yellow do water change and buff water using African kH generator.
• Carbonate Hardness must be present above 150ppm. This must be tested using a KH test kit.
• Add double dose of Easy-life water ager to any tap water.
• Never clean gravel in tap water.
• Never use tap water to clean or fill your filter or filter media as tap water contains chlorine, which kills bacteria. If you have no bacteria in your filter you will have no fish.
• Lack of bacteria will create cloudy water.
• Set heater to 24 and ensure the tank is about 25 C.
• Mainly have the light on when you are viewing the tank.
• Keep fish stocks high to lower aggression.
• Acclimatise new fish by floating them in their bag in the tank for 30mins before releasing them into the tank.
• Add a dose of Easy-life fluid filter media weekly to help stabilise and balance the water.

Place a bit of polyfilter in the filter or in the water of the tank and replace it when it turns black. The polyfilter will remove all the bad stuff from the water including phosphate which is what creates algae!
