1. Ensure adequate population2. Monitor the boss of the tank3. Ensure adequate water flow and surface agitation4. Ensure adequate nutrition, vitamins, trace elements and NEVER overfeed5. Never add too many or too little fish at once (e.g. 4-6 )and NEVER add any new fish unless your aquarium has been running perfectly and it has been at least two weeks since a fish has died, been sick or has been added. 6. Never introduce a fish that may appear sick. 7. Monitor fish aggression and re-aquascape aquarium if necessary, including more caves. 8. Don’t introduce predators with prey. Make sure no fish are small enough to fit into the month of the largest fish.9. Ensure adequate biological filter media and make sure that you never wash it in tap water.10. Ensure your water parameters are always correct e.g. African Cichlids 25’C, pH 8.4, kH 200ppm, Nh4 0ppm, NO2 0ppm, NO3 <10ppm, PO4 <3ppm. 1 teaspoon per 5lt salt.
